So this is not a craft post...but more of I just want to share. I am in the middle of preparing for my 2nd half marathon, so this past weekend on the holiday I had my first run of the season. I was excited, nervous and happy to be back in it. I have not done a race in almost 2 years. And it was my first 10k (6.2 miles)
I was able to run it with my good friend Maria which was fun in itself because she is now addicted to running and it was her first race. She did wonderful!
I myself was really happy with my time. My goal was 1hr 15 mins and I did it in 1hr and 5 mins. The clock time as I am passing is without subtraction the time it took me to get to the start of the race. My husband, oldest daughter, son and Maria and family were at the finish line waiting for me. We left Savannah home with Beam. Austin ran out to give me a big hug it was a great moment. I couldn't help but be so smiley at the finish.
