ugg like boots

I wanted to make Ugg "like" booties for Savannah and after searching I found this free pattern here:
http://pamapaloza.blogspot.com/2006/08/crochet-suede-baby-booties.html

The pattern was pretty good. I think my yarn was a little thicker than hers and thats why mine seem fat (just using what I had on hand). I tried to do another pair with a smaller hook and that didn't work. I do love the way they came out. They even have a lining that matches the white yarn thats on top of the boot so they are nice and soft for her.

zee

I have been trying to do some crafts with Austin. NickJr.com has some great things for kids to do and age appropriate as well. Zee is one of the host on Nick Jr (the only channel on in our house). So I went through my supplies and we had everything we needed. I cut the pieces and using fabric glue Austin attached everything and stuffed her. He is carrying her where ever he goes.

Leapster case

For Austin's birthday this past year he got a Leapster. He didn't really play with it to much until Christmas when he got a game just like his big sissy called Pet Pals. Then one day he lost it. It was not a fun time in our house. We were getting ready to go buy a new one when we found it!! Yea!! So right away I made him this little carry bag.

Perfect size for the Leapster

It has a pocket up front for his games, right now he only has 2

rollie pollie

Rollie Pollie what a fun thing to have. When I saw this I just had to get the pattern. I normally don't buy patterns because in my view its a way to save money. But I thought it would be ok in this case because it was a pattern by a mom and I really really wanted it. I love the way it came out. I originally wanted the pattern for a gift, but boy is this going to be hard to give up. I see many more in my future! The pattern came from a blog that I love...MADE. http://www.dana-made-it.com/2008/07/looking-for-hours-of-entertainment-meet.html. It was a great pattern but as always I usually have to take a seem out at some point her was the handle (I didn't have right sides together), it was totally my fault wasn't paying attention. I do wish I used more stuffing but I was worried about getting it in the cover.

I wanted a fun bright fabric. I think she will love this on her 2nd birthday.

He loves it, it's a good thing it's girly or I might of had to make another one right away.

In action jumping, which I am sure it wont be the last time.

TaDa! Creations: Nursing Cover {Tutorial}

I was recently asked for a nursing cover and as I was prepairing to make it TaDa! Creations posted a tutorial on a much fancier one that I thought I would give a try. It turned out really cute. The recipient asked for no boning though. Ask and you shall receive.

Here is my version. Head on over and check out her great tutorial!

car seat cover

We needed a new cover for the car seat beacuse a cat sprayed it and we couldn't get the smell out. So I took the old cover off and used it as a pattern. I have never figured out the button hole thing so those are not to nice and I don't like how the shade came out, but all in all it turned out ok and we use it.

Peekaru

I wanted one of these Peekarus but of course I had to try and make one my self. I like it but might change the zipper to the front because I most likely wont wear her on my back if I need a coat on and it is hard to zipper it on the side. I would put the zipper on upside down.

Crochet hats

This year I crochet my childrend's hats. I came up with the patterns myself. For my daughter I just didn't want to pay for a pattern. For my little guy every time I tried the free patterns on line it came to a sharp point which I didn't like so I just went with what I thought I wanted. I love the brim!

I think I will be more adventurous next time and use some different colors.

Tuxedo t-shirt

My husband asked me to create a Tuxedo t-shirt for one of his friends, they have been looking for one and couldn't find any. So off I went to look on the internet for a template and nothing!! I couldn't believe it. So I had to create it on my own. I can not draw at all!! Here is the end product not to bad. The one was a little off centered but this is only my 2nd yudu project.
